7 Ways to Restart a Day

Mornings are crucial. How your mornings begin usually determine the outcome of your day. So, if you've just woken up, and you're on the wrong side of the bed. Is there any way to switch to the other side? Absolutely!

As Soon as the Alarm Rings...

Spend your first 15 seconds awake planning something nice to do for yourself today. "This can really set you up in a good mood—even if it's just going by the farmers' market and getting fresh strawberries," says Alice Domar, PhD, author of Be Happy Without Being Perfect: How to Break Free from the Perfection Deception.

Get Up

The longer you lie there, the more you ruminate, the darker your outlook is likely to become, says Christine Padesky, PhD, co-author of Mind Over Mood. So get vertical and make a cup of coffee, take a shower, feed the cat...

Drink...

...make that two glasses of water upon awakening, the time when our bodies are dehydrated, says Susan M. Kleiner, PhD, author of The Good Mood Diet. Dehydration causes fatigue, which affects your mood.

Move It

You already know the number one way of chasing away a bad mood: exercise. A workout at the gym sure helps. But even just a few minutes of movement—a fast walk, for example—raises energy and reduces tension, says mood expert Robert Thayer, PhD, professor of psychology at California State University, Long Beach, and author of Calm Energy.

Investigate

When you're dogged by anxiety or the dread you woke up with, try to pinpoint what's causing it. Did someone say anything the day before? Do you have a meeting today you wish you didn't? Was it the dream you were having when the alarm went off? "If you can figure out why you're upset, that's halfway to feeling better," says Domar.

Be Kind and Thankful

This isn't exactly news, but generosity and gratitude are both big contributors to happiness, according to Todd B. Kashdan, PhD, who directs the Laboratory for the Study of Social Anxiety, Character Strengths, and Related Phenomena at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Do something nice for a stranger or friend and see if you don't feel better about yourself. Also, jot down three things that you're grateful for. It seems so simple, but counting your blessings just has a way of making you remember the sun is shining.

Laugh at Yourself

The best comedians point out the mundane aspects of life—relationship strife, a boring job, a closet full of too-tight clothes; they exaggerate those circumstances, and give us a perspective we can laugh about, says Mark Ridley, owner of the Comedy Castle in Royal Oak, Michigan. Look at your own life and try to appreciate the absurdity of what doesn't go exactly according to plan (the diets, the men, the buzz cut). Acknowledging how little control we actually have over what happens is sometimes a most freeing gift to yourself.

SELF-HYPNOSIS FOR STRESS

A few weeks ago, I was feeling particularly overwhelmed with stress and anxiety. It seemed like anything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I felt like I was spinning out of control.

I happened to be researching on the topic yoga and meditation at the time and came across a website that offered a downloadable mp3 hypnotic relaxation session.

There are plenty of places on the internet where you can get these downloadable sessions for a small fee.

However, you can also practice self-hypnosis on your own.

You first need to find a quiet place where you can fully relax and listen to your inner voice. You shouldn’t TRY to make something happen. Let your mind listen and relax. A large part of achieving that hypnotic state is to allow it to happen naturally.

Also, don’t watch for certain signs or signals that you might be in a hypnotic state. We can guarantee that if you look for these signs, you won’t be able to fully relax and gain the benefits of self-hypnosis.

There are lots of different ways to experience hypnosis. No two people will have exactly the same experience. In one respect, though, everyone has the same experience: the hypnotic state is always pleasant!

There are no "bad trips" in hypnosis. Keep in mind that self-hypnosis is a skill, and that you will continue to get better at it and, as you do, it becomes ever more powerful.

It's a good idea to set up a schedule of practice, allowing yourself anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes, depending on how busy you are and how much time you have to spend at it. Practice during the best part of your day if you can and at a time when you are least likely to be disturbed by others.

Most people find it best to practice lying down, in a comfortable position, with as few distractions as possible. If you are bothered by noise while you practice you can try to mask out the noise with some other source of sound.

You can try stereo music in the background, or white noise if you like. If like most people you don't have a white noise generator, try tuning a radio receiver between stations. The static you get when you do that is similar to white noise. However this takes an older or cheaper FM receiver without a noise suppressor. Sometimes AM tuners can be used for this. This should just be in the background and not too loud to be distracting.

A life of Bliss – Part One

We are who we make ourselves, but sometimes our ego doesn't want us to do the 'spiritual work' or practices that will heal and transform us, align us with our higher being and enable more of the love to flow that lead to the success we desire and deserve. When we shut off our emotions to avoid pain, we shut off the lighter, positive feelings of love, happiness and joy too.

Change begins with recognition and acknowledgement of our feelings that will allow us to heal. This process involves looking in the mirror. Do this with compassion towards yourself. You are not your darkness, failings or mistakes. You are a person of great value, created in the image and likeness of God. Be loving, compassionate and forgiving of yourself. By doing so, you begin your journey towards bliss.

'Blissipline' Tips!

1. Daily meditation

Even just 5 minutes once a day will be beneficial. You can extend that to 2 (or 3) times a day, and move from 5 minutes to 10, then 20 minutes. Sit back, relax, and allow the meditative experience envelope your being.

Meditating daily has numerous benefits, from improved health, reduced stress and anti-aging benefits to the gifts of clearing and raising energy, inner peace and centering, connecting to your Higher Being, and receiving divine inspiration.

Combining meditation with visualization for manifesting your dreams help clear blockages to success.

2. Daily manifesting routine

A daily manifesting routine can be integrated or added along-side your daily meditation. It could be something as simple as visualizing your goals for a few minutes each morning and/or night. Read a list each morning and/or evening of the current goals you are focusing on.

Daily manifestation implemented daily and added to your routine help bridge the gap between you and your goals.

3. Gratitude

Allow yourself to feel grateful for at least 5 things in your life each morning as part of your blissipline routine, and at the end of the day for things that happened during your day that you are grateful for.

This will align your vibration to everything which is good, true and beautiful in your life, to everything which you love and appreciate, and attract more of the same at an expanded level into your life.

Keeping a gratitude journal is useful too, to make you remember what you are grateful for. The key is feeling the gratitude more than thinking about it or writing it down… avoid the intellectual process, feel and be absorbed by your gratitude.

4. Time in nature

Spending time in nature is healing and recalibrating, and aligns your energy to beauty, harmony, peace, love and enchantment. The wondrous energies of flowers, plants and the nourishing energy of Earth herself, have a very rejuvenating and transforming effect on your being.

Being with nature is in itself food for the soul… it will also ground and discharge negative energies, as well as open your heart and uplift your spirits while giving you time to stop, reflect, be at peace, and be with yourself and receive inspiration.

5. Do more of what you love

Doing more of what you love and what brings you joy will raise your vibration significantly and attract more success, happiness, joy and opportunities into your life in all areas!

All work and no play makes for a dull day. For a high vibration that will boost your all-round attractor factor, be sure to add regular FUN to your weekly schedule!

TWO BIG QUESTIONS

Who am I? and What makes me happy?

Have you tried answering these 2 questions? I mean really sat down and look deep within yourself to know the answer? 90% of successful people have realized this early and have used the answers to guide their way of life.

Knowing who you are and what makes you happy open your mind to your life’s purpose. Listen to God’s voice in the depths of your being. We are all created with a beautiful purpose. Live for this purpose, die for this purpose. Having a clear perspective of your purpose give direction. You’ll have something to do, something to love and something to look forward to. If you have these three things, it’ll be very difficult to be miserable!

Steve Goodier in his article simply puts it this way… ‘How can you get very far, if you don't know who you are?’

Read his full article, I’m sure you’ll be inspired.

DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE?

Comedian Woody Allen says, "My one regret in life is that I am not someone else."

I heard of one man who took trying to be someone else too seriously. Newspapers reported that Dutch police arrested a man in the town of Rosendaal. They found him in possession of 186 false papers, including 29 Nigerian passports, 30 British passports, 74 Dutch work permits, 12 British driving licenses, 18 birth or death certificates, 2 British student cards, an international driving license and 20 forged checks. Once he was in custody, they still had a problem. They weren't sure who he was.

I have no regrets that I'm not someone else. But that doesn't mean I've always been clear about just who I am. I like the way A. A. Milne's "Winnie the Pooh" (THE WORLD OF POOH) puts it:

"How can you get very far, If you don't know who you are? How can you do what you ought, If you don't know what you've got?"

One man said, "I go to a doctor and pay him 75 dollars an hour, and all he does is ask me the same question my father used to ask me all the time: 'Who do you think you are, anyway?'" But that's not a bad question, really. How can you get very far, if you don't know who you are?

I think I spent the first 20 or 30 years of my life trying to define who I really was. I thought I'd never know what to study in school and I was sure I'd never figure out what kind of person I might be happy spending my life with. I managed to get through that phase of life and then, just when I thought I knew myself fairly well, I discovered I'd changed. And through the years I keep changing. It seems like I've always been up against the question, "Who am I -- really?"

I appreciate Benjamin Kubelski's story. In 1902, his father gave him a violin for his eighth birthday. It cost $50, a small fortune in those days, and especially for a recently immigrated Russian family. Benjamin did well and was playing concerts as a teenager. At age 18 he teamed up with a woman pianist as a musical team in Vaudeville.

But he suspected the violin did not satisfy his heart's desire. Then one night, Benjamin impulsively decided to tell the audience about a funny incident that had happened during the day. He later said, "The audience laughed and the sound intoxicated me. That laughter ended my days as a musician." And it began his life career as entertainer Jack Benny.

He found who he was and everything fit into place. How can you get very far, if you don't know who you are?

But how do you figure out who you are? Short of taking a battery of aptitude and personality tests (which, by the way, do have their place), there are two simple and accurate ways of knowing yourself
better.

First, ask someone who loves you. Ask her to describe you in as much detail as she can. Her opinion may not be conclusive, but others see us differently than we see ourselves.

And second, pay attention to what stirs your emotions. I sometimes ask people, "What do you like to do so much that you would do it for free if you could?" What makes your heart sing?

How can you get very far, if you don't know who you are? Answer these simple questions and I think you'll know.

LOOK OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

‘Look outside of the box’ I would always hear this expression and thought I fully understood what it meant until I read this inspiring story which gave me more insight on how to deal successfully with life. The soldier in the story could have easily chosen to dwell in the misery brought about by war. He may have looked at the deck of cards and feel sorry he can’t use it to play with his loved ones. What he saw in the deck of cards not only made him grateful but more importantly made him hopeful of the future ahead.

True, Life is not always a bed of roses. Just like a wheel, we journey through life with its ups and downs. Jesus did not promise a life without trial but He did promise to be with us every step of the way. Rather than looking at problems as a burden, why not look at it as a challenge and imagine yourself winning. There are always 2 sides in every situation but habit tells you to look at what is negative - the black dot on the massive white paper.

I dare you today to look outside of the box. Forget what is obvious, most of the time these are things you can’t change. Be creative, view another perspective, and open yourself to the positive side. Believe me, there’s always a blessing in disguise.

I will never look at a deck of cards the same again… will you?

Deck of Cards

It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't been heard.

The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week.

As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk.

Just then an army sergeant came in and said, 'Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?'

The soldier replied, 'I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord.'

The sergeant said, 'Looks to me like you're going to play cards.'

The soldier said, 'No, sir. You see, since we are not allowed to have Bibles or other spiritual books in this country,

I've decided to talk to the Lord by studying this deck of cards.'

The sergeant asked in disbelief, 'How will you do that?'

'You see the Ace, Sergeant? It reminds me that there is only one God

The Two represents the two parts of the Bible, Old and New Testaments

The Three represents the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

The Four stands for the Four Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John .

The Five is for the five virgins there were ten but only five of them were glorified.

The Six is for the six days it took God to create the Heavens and Earth.
The Seven is for the day God rested after making His Creation.

The Eight is for the family of Noah and his wife, their three sons and their wives -- the eight people God spared from the flood that destroyed the Earth.

The Nine is for the lepers that Jesus cleansed of leprosy He cleansed ten, but nine never thanked Him.

The Ten represents the Ten Commandments that God handed down to Moses on tablets made of stone.

The Jack is a reminder of Satan, one of God's first angels, but he got kicked out of heaven for his sly and wicked ways and is now the joker of eternal hell.

The Queen stands for the Virgin Mary.

The King stands for Jesus, for he is the King of all kings.

When I count the dots on all the cards, I come up with 365 total, one for every day of the year..

There are a total of 52 cards in a deck; each is a week - 52 weeks in a year.

The four suits represent the four seasons: Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.

Each suit has thirteen cards -- there are exactly thirteen weeks in a quarter.

So when I want to talk to God and thank Him, I just pull out this old deck of cards and they remind me of all that I have to be thankful for.'

The sergeant just stood there. After a minute, with tears in his eyes and pain in his heart, he said, 'Soldier, can I borrow that deck of cards?'

This story is offered to all servicemen and women all around the world. Let us stop and say a small prayer for them and their families. Of all the gifts you could give a Soldier, prayer is the very best one.

YES, STRESS AFFECTS YOUR GUT

Stress makes us sick therefore being aware and acknowledging stress is important. Your gut is a brilliant barometer of stress.

This exercise is simple: Just allow your focus to settle deep within your abdomen. Is your gut quiet or active? Open or clenched? Soft or tense? Spacious or tight?

If you're tight, gripped, or clenched, you're probably dealing with some kind of stress. Ask yourself: What could I imagine right now that would help me feel better? Maybe it's visualizing walking on a beautiful beach, eating at your favorite restaurant, or relaxing at a spa. You might want to just sit still and breathe deeply for a few minutes.

Whatever comes to mind, take a few moments to let yourself go with the thought, bringing in an awareness of colors, shapes, textures, smells, temperature—all the qualities that make the experience alive for you. You'll know you've brought your stress level down when your gut becomes warm, spacious, soft, or quiet, or conveys some other comfortable sensation.

As with all skills, learning to listen to—and trust—your gut may take practice, but over time you'll discover a valuable and reliable guide.

“We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves.”— Marcel Proust

WAKE UP FROM YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS

You may have blocks that are standing in the way of manifesting the successes you want.

Self-punishment, (the faces and forms it takes), can be one such block. When we carry a level of self-punishment, we sabotage success. Being conscious is the first step on the road to freedom!

While your beliefs can be powerful allies, they can also be big roadblocks to success. To produce success, align your beliefs to the outcomes you seek.

Other blocks can include the traps of judgment, perfectionism, guilt, blame, victim, self-pity, control, jealousy, fear, undeserving, repressed emotions, and a lack of self forgiveness.

Many of your mental, attitudinal and ego blocks can also be transcended when you awaken to the true loving nature of reality. Understand that it is sourced from the inside out. Know that you are loved, loving and loveable, and that you are a powerful creator!

"Not only do you create the way you look at things,
you create the things you look at!"
- Lazaris

You are an amazing magnificent being, manifesting your reality in every moment!

Your mind creates the visible out of the invisible. You are a miracle maker!

"Stand up to your obstacles & do something about them.
You will find they haven't half the strength you think they have."
- Norman Vincent Peale

If you want to have something happen, believe it will. Stop saying ‘no’ or ‘you can’t’ because the more you do what you want will never become real.

PARADIGM? / Bob Proctor

I'm sure you have big ideas and great things you want to accomplish, and haven't yet made it happen because you don't know how or where to start. Good news is, you don't have to know how.

Bob talks about PARADIGM.

What is a paradigm? I took down notes and here are a few eye opening concepts…

Paradigm: A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them, especially in an intellectual discipline.
Paradigm: Are a multitude of habits that control behaviors.
Paradigm shapes everything in our life, it shapes our success.
Happiness is controlled by our paradigm.
Paradigm controls our ability to earn money, our weight, our relationship
Your paradigm controls your life
Change your paradigm, change your life.
Logic controls everything, go to the other side of logic – look illogical
Paradigm: problems that have kept us on the ground.
To solve a problem, you need to recognize the problem.

WATCH THIS VIDEO, HEAR & LEARN FOR YOURSELF.
