Motivational Quotes

How you start your mornings usually determine the outcome of your day. Just as having a cup of coffee helps kick start your day, daily positive affirmations help keep you motivated.

Here are few inspiring quotes to fire up your day.

“You see things and say ‘Why?’ but I dream things and say ‘Why not?’”
- George Bernard Shaw

“The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges.”
- Martin Luther King Jr.

“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.”
- Mark Twain

“That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well.”
- Abraham Lincoln

“Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs even though checkered by failure, than to rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy nor suffer much because they live in that gray twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat.”
- Theodore Roosevelt

“Success is going from failure to failure without losing your enthusiasm.”
- Winston Churchill

“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
- Thomas Edison

Anti-aging? Meditate!

Scientific studies have shown that meditation have positive effects at very physical levels, with even small amounts of meditation proving to have significant health and anti-aging benefits.

The timelessness induced by meditation appears to have timelessness effects on the body too!

According to research, Meditation has been found to increase levels of the anti-aging hormone DHEA (which decreases in the body with age).

In one experiment, 45 year old male meditators who practiced basic breathing or mindfulness meditation 20 minutes a day for 3 months, had 23% more of the youth hormone DHEA than non-meditators.

For women, this difference was even greater, with female meditators showing 47% higher levels of DHEA than non-meditators!

DHEA also helps to decrease stress, heighten memory, preserve sexual function, and control weight.

In another Harvard study, regular practice of basic meditation techniques was shown to have a significant positive impact on genes related to the aging process.

This study was conducted on a group that had never meditated before, and were taught simple breathing and meditation techniques that generate a 'Relaxation Response'.
After only 8 weeks, meditation had impacted 1561 genes in a highly beneficial way!

874 genes were 'turned up' (up-regulated), which were essentially anti-aging genes (such as those involved in the production of ant-aging anti-oxidants that fight age-causing free radicals in the body).

687 were 'turned down' (down-regulated), which were less desirable ones such as those related to inflammation (that causes collateral damage to the body).

In another research study, long-term meditators (practicing meditation for five years or more) were shown to be physiologically twelve years younger than their chronological age (as measured by reduction of blood pressure, and better near-point vision and auditory discrimination!

Even short-term meditators were physiologically five years younger than their chronological age!

Amazing isn’t it? Even simple practices like observing your breathing to quiet and focus the mind, and exercise practices that support a still and focused mind like Qigong and yoga, for example, can be of help.

VISUALIZE YOUR WAY OUT OF STRESS AND TOWARDS SUCCESS

Many people report very beneficial and soothing results out of using simple visualizations frequently. The mind is much like a muscle in that, in order to relax, it needs to regularly release what it is holding onto.

You can use any situation or location that will help calm you. We liken this to “finding your happy place”. Maybe you feel relaxed in a swimming pool or on the beach. Imagine yourself there. Just make sure wherever you go in your mind is a place where you can be calm and rested.

By visualizing the different situations, you are allowing your mind to release. It is like sending a message to your brain that when you close your eyes and begin this process it is time for letting go of anything that it has been mentally holding onto, including anxious thinking.

manage your mind, discover your strengths and overcomepersonal barriers thru the DA VINCI METHOD

In order to train your mind how to let go of the stress, it is important to practice this daily. With practice, you can learn to release all stress within minutes of starting the exercise. Your daily practice should take place before going to bed, as that will enable you to sleep more soundly.

Many people do not do these visualizations in the bedroom but some other room before going to bed. That way, when they enter the bedroom and close the door, they are leaving the mental stress and anxious thinking behind them. Just be sure you have the opportunity to totally concentrate on your mental images.

Visualization as a tool for dealing with mental stress is very effective. If such visualization is carried out properly, you can reach a deep feeling of inner calm. This technique probably will not work in helping to end an anxiety attack, but it can help that attack from beginning. It is a very powerful support tool for ridding yourself of general anxiety sensations.

With practice, you find you go days without having anxious thinking interrupt your life, and importantly, this significantly reduces the level of general anxiety you feel.

Visualization is simply a tool you can use to overcome anxious thoughts and feelings. And once you free yourself from stress and anxiety you are ready to welcome the world with a more positive energy whereby opening doors to your success!

Success Secret - (Part Two)

 CONTINUATION from yesterdays post...

10 STEPS TO A SUCCESSFUL LIFE
By: LYNN A. ROBINSON

Research has shown that the happiest people are the ones who have gratitude for all that they have despite their circumstances. You don't have to postpone happiness until you have achieved all your goals. Joy is an inside job. In the Talmud it says, "In the world to come each of us will be called to account for all the good things God put on this earth which we refused to enjoy." Learn to appreciate the unfolding process of your life, not just the realization of your dreams.

7. Take action.
People often get stuck because they can't figure out how to get from Point A to Point Z. What is one thing you could do that would be a next step? Take a class, talk to a friend, read a book on a topic of interest, learn a new skill. Take action on what feels exciting to you.

8. Look for coincidences and synchronicities.
It has been said that coincidences are God's way of remaining anonymous. We often have serendipity occurring in our lives as a way to show us we are on the right path. As you trust your intuitive knowing you'll find these synchronicities occurring more often.

9. Know that there will be ebbs and flows.
We often reach success through a series of ups and downs. When you are in a "down" place and feeling stuck, know that it won't last forever. Find some ways to enjoy your life despite the lull and continue to focus on what you want.

Maybe you're beginning to feel as Mother Theresa once did when she said, "I know God will not give me anything I can't handle. I just wish that He didn't trust me so much." The Universe has a perfect plan for your growth and unfolding as a human being. As you learn to be guided by your intuition you're beginning to act on this wisdom from the Universe.

Are You Ready to Get RICH?

Do you ever wonder why "some people" seem to have so much wealth and success in their lives, while so many others struggle, suffer and never seem to "get rich" no matter how hard they try?

Personally, I've always been astonished by how you can take two people who seem “so” similar in so many ways . . . wake them up to the power of manifesting and the Law of Attraction and, a few months or a year later, have fantastically different results . . .

... one of them having skyrocketed to wealth, power and success while the other seems to have made no progress at all.

You probably already know about John Assaraf from his amazing work in "The Secret," his appearances on Ellen, Larry King, Oprah and hundreds of television shows around the world . . .

John is one of the biggest experts on the Law of Attraction in the world and has changed the lives of millions of people - (and especially since he transformed himself from a street kid to a multi-millionaire  business success)...

I have been reading about and listening to John and what struck me the most is his deep interest in NEUROSCIENCE, the inner workings of the mind and how the "programming" of the mind affects everything from how you feel when you wake up in the morning to how successful you are in your love life to how much money you ALLOW YOURSELF to make . . .

John discovered during his intensive research that . . . you can not CONSCIOUSLY choose to attract wealth and success or "get rich."  In fact,  consciously "choosing" (as what most people do) to get wealthy and successful can actually hold you back . . .

Why?

Well, it helps if you think of your mind as a computer.

We all know that computers can only do what they're PROGRAMMED for . . . you run a piece of software on your computer and it does EXACTLY that it's programmed to do. The only way to change what the computer does is to go in and rewrite the software or to install a completely new program.

What John discovered is that so many of us are walking around with "Bad Software" embedded deep in our subconscious minds.

"Software" that basically forces us to under perform, to be "poor" in some cases or to hit a "ceiling of success" that we just can't seem to break past no matter what we do.

It's not your fault that you can't get the success and wealth you want and deserve...

..It's just that your "Software" (which was "programmed" into your mind a long time ago, probably when you were a kid) is just out of date.
In his video "Inner Game Of Money and Success" . . . He  teaches how to "reprogram" your subconscious to almost automatically seek out and create amazing levels of wealth and success in your life.

You have to realize that it is your brain that allows you to see.

He tells about ways or techniques on how to tap into our subconscious to manifest the results we want to achieve.  You can choose from any of the following but a combination of the same has been proven to deliver the best results.

1/ Guided Visualization - is creating a mental picture of something. Visualization is important because it makes the future become more clear. Seeing yourself already achieving your goal makes your brain believe that attaining that goal is possible. Focusing consistently on any given goal will enable you to manifest it far sooner than if you didn't focus on it at all. Focus brings the goal closer to you.  A visualization coach will help you get more focus.

2/ Precision Affirmation - affirmation is a declaration that something is true. Written down precise affirmations when done properly and consistently works wonders in the achievement of your goals.

3/ Psyche - refers to the forces in an individual that influence thought, behavior and personality

4/ Hypnotherapy - is the process to bypass the conscious brain to change tap the subconscious.  Hypnotherapists use exercises that bring about deep relaxation and an altered state of consciousness. A person in a deeply focused state is unusually responsive to an idea or image. By doing so they can affect their own bodily functions and psychological responses.

5/ Meditation (my most favorite) - Meditation is a practice of concentrated focus upon a sound, object, visualization, the breath, movement, or attention itself in order to increase awareness of the present moment, reduce stress, promote relaxation, and enhance personal and spiritual growth.  Meditation is the art of focus.
